Deloitte today published a report with predictions for the telecom, media and technology industries for 2012.
Deloitte’s Technology Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Industry Group published 18 predictions in total ranging from the rise of online coupons, payments from mobile phones, the increased usage of Near Field Communications and the traditional television schedule is likely to prevail over its online and catchup counterparts.

According to the research - commissioned by www.mozy.ie, the world’s most trusted provider of online back up and data access solutions - more items are lost at 18:00 on Saturdays in December than at any other time of the year in Ireland.
The transition from work to weekend, and Saturday lunches and afternoon Christmas shopping to Saturday night Christmas celebrations, appears to create the perfect conditions for loss with nearly as many items going missing on Fridays and Saturdays as the rest of the week put together.
